My Story

Jackie has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, initially working in the NHS as a Registered Nurse and Midwife for over 20 years. (1986 – 2007)

Although still passionate about midwifery and conventional medicine, she became inspired by the benefits of holistic healthcare; in particular Homeopathy. Whilst on night-duty, she experienced difficulty sleeping during the day and marvelled at the lack of side-effects from her prescribed homeopathic medication, which is so commonly found with conventional sleeping tablets.

For many years she and her young family enjoyed good health, feeling safe in the hands of their Homeopath. As her own Homeopath approached retirement, Jackie decided to embark on a 4-year course with the North West College of Homeopathy at Salford University; studying Homeopathic Medicine. Here she gained a deeper understanding of the holistic medicine she had grown to love and respect. The combination of studying along with being a mum to two young children meant that she had to temporarily wave goodbye to her beloved midwifery career, although she felt she may cross that path again in the future.

In 2011 she graduated as a Registered Homeopath and gained her license to practice. She has enjoyed running a successful general practice from two clinics in Lancashire ever since. She is a member of The Society of Homeopaths working in accordance with their code of ethics and practice in the UK. She is committed to Continuous Professional Development (CPD), regularly attending postgraduate studies within the UK and abroad.

As part of these CPD studies, she undertook further training as a Hypnobirthing Practitioner in 2014. She was so inspired by the deep healing potential of hypnosis that she went on to study with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy, graduating with a Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy in 2016. This level of training meant that she could offer these services within the NHS. She is a registered member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists, working within their code of ethics and practice in the UK.

Jackie enjoys and very much believes in empowering people to overcome life’s challenges, she has a particular interest in the specialised treatment of those suffering from Trauma and PTSD. She has undertaken specialised training including being part of a select group of Certified Birth Trauma Resolution Practitioners; accredited by The Royal College of Midwives and Human Givens Psychologists.
